Asian American Day Festival

The Asian American Association of Boston is a local Boston-based non-profit organization focused on promoting cultural and artistic exchanges between the Asian community of the Greater Boston Area and other Boston communities, as well as unity and collaboration.

In 2016, the organization proposed the second Saturday of September as Asian American Day, which was officially recognized by the City of Boston as well as Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker on a statewide level.

2022 marks their 12th year celebrating this day in honor of Asian American heritage. I was approached by their executive director to redesign their sponsorship plan booklet as well as to design their event posters for this year’s Asian American Day Festival.

Event Posters

I wanted to focus on creating a fun and vibrant poster design for this event to highlight the excitement and energy of the day.

Following the brand colors I established in their sponsorship booklet, I focused my design around the color red, which is both an energetic and lively color as well as deeply symbolic in Eastern cultures.
